These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Kulture Radio and The Kulture 20, operated by Kulture Media Africa ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using our services at radio.kulturemedia.africa, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
The Kulture Radio is a music streaming and chart publication platform focused on East African music and culture. The service includes:
You may listen to the radio stream without creating an account. An account is required to skip tracks, download music, and access subscription content. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
Free accounts are subject to daily usage limits, which may change at our discretion. Current limits are:
Free users will see advertisements. Limits reset daily at midnight EAT.
Paid subscriptions provide unlimited skips, unlimited downloads, and an ad-free experience, along with access to the full Kulture 20 chart and archive.
Prices may be presented in local currency (UGX, KES, TZS, RWF) at checkout based on your location. The USD equivalent governs in case of dispute.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds are issued for partial periods. Payments are processed by Flutterwave.
Chart positions are determined solely by editorial judgment. No payment, promotion fee, or label relationship influences chart rankings. Any attempt to purchase a chart position will result in permanent disqualification.
The Kulture 20 reflects the editorial opinion of Kulture Media Africa regarding music popularity across East Africa. It is not a certified or audited chart. We reserve the right to adjust methodology at any time.
Chart data, rankings, and editorial content are the intellectual property of Kulture Media Africa. You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute chart data without written permission.
By submitting music for chart consideration, you confirm that you have the right to submit the content and grant us permission to listen to and evaluate it. Submission does not guarantee chart inclusion. We do not provide feedback on submissions. We are not responsible for unsolicited submissions and they do not create any obligation or relationship.
Music streamed through the Service is sourced from Audius, a decentralised music platform. Artists upload their own content to Audius. We do not claim ownership of any music streamed through the Service. Rights remain with the respective artists and rights holders.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, specific chart accuracy, or that the Service will meet your requirements. Streaming availability depends on Audius infrastructure, which is outside our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kulture Media Africa shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kampala, Uganda.
